Elsevier Health is seeking an Account Manager to drive strategic partnerships with hospitals and universities across Japan.

In this role, you will contribute to improving healthcare outcomes by delivering trusted information and education solutions that support clinical decision-making.

You will also work in a highly global environment, collaborating with international teams, hosting overseas leadership visits, and participating in global Sales Conferences.

This role offers strong ownership, including the ability to develop and execute territory strategies, and provides a clear pathway toward future leadership and business ownership opportunities.

Responsibilities

Achieve assigned sales targets
Develop and execute customer-centric sales strategies
Build and maintain target account pipelines
Manage pipeline activity and report sales progress
Contribute to overall Health Solutions sales strategy
Identify new opportunities through market analysis
Monitor and analyze competitors
Forecast sales performance
Track and assess key account health (financials, infrastructure, etc.)
Share success stories and best practices internally
Maintain accurate CRM records
Ensure proper expense and contract management
Build multi-level relationships within client organizations
Engage regularly with customers through meetings, calls, and events
Proactively generate new business opportunities
Collaborate with product and marketing teams to communicate value
Partner with Customer Success to support post-sale activities
Provide market feedback to support product development

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or above
Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience
(preferably in IT, financial services, or other intangible solutions)
Basic to intermediate English proficiency
(global materials and systems are in English)

Nice to Have

Experience in the healthcare industry
Experience selling e-learning or digital solutions
Experience in solution-based / intangible sales
Strong teamwork mindset and adaptability
