This Senior Product Manager role sits at the heart of Litera’s Collaboration & Publishing portfolio, and will play a critical role in expanding Litera’s footprint in focused on solutions that enable secure and collaborative document handling via email, data protection and PDF-based workflows across new customer segments and global markets. The position can be based in our Toronto office, following our hybrid working model of three days per week in the office.

Role Overview

As a Senior Product Manager within the Collaboration & Publishing portfolio, you will own a set of products that operate at the intersection of risk, compliance, collaboration, and productivity—areas where legal organizations invest when value, trust, and scale are clear.

Your portfolio includes solutions that:

Enable secure collaboration and external document sharing

Protect sensitive information through metadata management and data loss prevention

Provide end‑to‑end PDF management, including creation, editing, redaction, binder assembly, and documenLitet security

Your mandate is not incremental improvement. You are accountable for growing this portfolio by:

Expanding into new customer segments beyond traditional large law firms

Driving adoption in new geographic regions

Strengthening competitive differentiation in increasingly commoditized markets

Modernizing legacy workflows with AI‑enabled capabilities that scale value and reduce friction

Success in this role is measured by adoption, retention, expansion, and regional growth, not just roadmap execution.

Business Outcomes You Will Drive

In this role, you will be directly accountable for delivering:

Market share and ARR growth through expansion into new segments and regions

Increased adoption and engagement by making secure collaboration and publishing workflows essential to daily work

Stronger competitive positioning against Secure Email collaboration and PDF vendors

Modernization of established products to improve retention and unlock new opportunities

Strategic Growth Mandate

This role carries a clear and explicit growth charter:

Identify and prioritize new customer segments where secure collaboration, document protection, and PDF workflows deliver differentiated value

Define region‑specific growth strategies, accounting for regulatory, workflow, and buyer differences

Partner with Sales and Marketing to adapt positioning, packaging, and value narratives by segment and geography

Drive roadmap decisions that support scalable growth, not just existing customer satisfaction

Core Product Focus

You will own strategy and execution across Litera’s Collaboration & Publishing portfolio, including:

Secure collaboration and document‑sharing workflows

Metadata detection, removal, and data loss prevention capabilities

End‑to‑end PDF workflows: creation, editing, redaction, binder assembly, and security

Integration of these capabilities into broader Litera workflows and customer environments

AI is a core lever in this role—applied pragmatically to reduce risk, improve accuracy, accelerate workflows, and increase user confidence at scale. You will work across the full product management stack ensuring deep understanding of:

The Customer – Clearly articulating who our customers are and the problems they face in their workflow. You’ll engage directly with customers to learn about their needs and concerns. You’ll present and gather feedback on the roadmap. You’re skilled at synthesizing, understanding, and tracking customer data and use it to help prioritize engineering efforts.

The Competition – Be the expert on what the competition is doing as well as where the market is heading from a trends perspective. You’ll be responsible for a deep understanding of how we differentiate, but not just for difference's sake, but to support our position in the market.

The Requirements – You’ll define engineering efforts by authoring Epics and Stories that clearly define WHO the feature or experience is for, written in the user voice and WHY this effort is valuable. Clear prioritization is critical with a rolling monthly updated roadmap modified and refreshed based on the latest data and customer information.

The Story, The Vision – Everyone from engineering, QA, user experience, marketing and customer facing teams need to know what story we’re trying to tell with the work we’re doing. Not the “What” but the “Why” it matters. A coherent vision told as a story in the user voice is critical for aligning all disciplines to the same goal.

The Roadmap – What is coming next? When is it coming? You’ll drive the beating heart of the Product Development organization. You’ll adjust the prioritization based on customer data, engineering team status and latest strategic priorities. You’ll balance short term tactical delivery-focused monthly releases with longer term strategic approaches to winning in the market. This role will have a specific focus on Kira’s path forward as AI technologies continue to advance.

The User Experience – You’ll partner with the Litera Design team to ensure the user experience is a first-class citizen in our product development efforts. While the Product Manager does not own the design direction in isolation, they must be passionate about the end user experience and advocate for the various personas.

The End-To-End – Your job is to shepherd the development of the product and to enable the Go-To-Market teams so they’re armed to tell the right story and can support our customers with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Growth

Own the product vision and roadmap for the Collaboration & Publishing portfolio, aligned to regional and segment growth goals

Identify and prioritize opportunities that unlock new revenue streams and markets

Make trade‑offs based on commercial impact, customer value, and scalability

Adoption & Revenue Impact

Treat adoption, retention, and expansion as core product outcomes

Partner with Sales and Customer Success to understand buying behavior across segments and regions

Define and track success metrics tied to usage, growth, and revenue impact

AI‑Enabled Modernization

Lead the application of AI to improve secure collaboration and document publishing workflows

Ensure AI capabilities are trustworthy, explainable, and appropriate for sensitive legal content

Use AI to scale value across regions and customer types

Go‑to‑Market Enablement

Shape positioning, packaging, and messaging to support expansion

Equip GTM teams to sell outcomes, not features

Inform pricing and packaging decisions based on delivered customer value

Cross‑Functional Leadership

Partner closely with Engineering, Design, and domain experts

Communicate priorities and outcomes clearly to executive stakeholders

Mentor other product managers and raise the bar for outcome‑driven product thinking

Qualifications

5+ years of product management experience with ownership of revenue‑impacting products

Proven ability to drive growth through adoption, expansion, and market differentiation

Experience with collaboration, document management, security, or publishing workflows

Familiarity with AI‑enabled product capabilities and platform evolution

Strong executive communication and stakeholder leadership skills

Experience in legal technology or adjacent regulated industries preferred

Salary Range (Ontario Applicants):
This position has a base salary range of $140,000 to $175,000 CAD, with additional eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus and benefits. The final offer will depend on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
