WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

This is a SaaS Emerging Enterprise sales leadership role, managing a team of Emerging Enterprise Account Executives for Braze’s market-leading Customer Journey Orchestration platform. We are looking for a high-energy Sales Director to lead a team of Emerging Enterprise Account Executives at Braze whose sole focus is winning new logos. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of successful experience leading and developing a team of Emerging Enterprise sellers in a high-growth, rapidly evolving, and dynamically competitive market.

Your team will focus exclusively on hunting and winning net-new logos. You should have experience building and leading outbound pipeline generation, strategizing on how to accelerate deals, and coaching reps to lead with value when navigating highly competitive deals. As a front-line leader whose team sells into companies across multiple industries, you should have strong business acumen and be ready to prepare for, and participate directly in, prospect-facing engagements to drive deals across the finish line.

Your leadership will have a direct impact on Braze's growth, the development of your team, and our ability to bring new customers onto the platform.

WHO YOU ARE

Minimum of 10 years of proven experience within Sales
At least 5 years of experience managing a team of Emerging Enterprise sales executives
A proven ability to recruit, retain, inspire, and develop top talent
Able to work cross-functionally with Business Development, Marketing, and Sales Operations
Outstanding verbal, written, and stand-up presentation skills
Strong technical and business acumen; the ability to engage with multiple customer personas across a wide variety of industries and within both technical and marketing functional roles
Up-to-date on digital and application trends, especially in the mobile space
Prior experience in selling to the Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams is a plus
Prior experience selling Mobile or Marketing Technology is a strong plus

For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $147,000 and $221,000/year, with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $300,000 and $449,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, this role qualifies for a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that you will own a piece of our company.
