About the Role

Our Customer Experience engineering teams build the digital products and platforms that connect collectors with the services and experiences that matter most to them. Across web and mobile surfaces, these teams create intuitive, reliable, and scalable customer-facing experiences that support discovery, submissions, order tracking, account management, collecting, and marketplace interactions. Teams work closely with product, design, data, and platform partners to deliver high-quality software that improves the collector journey end to end, while balancing speed, craftsmanship, and long-term maintainability.

We are looking for a Senior Front-End Software Engineer who is passionate about building polished, performant, and user-centered experiences at scale. This person has strong expertise in modern front-end development, brings sound engineering judgment, and can independently drive complex work from concept through delivery. They care deeply about code quality, usability, and maintainable architecture, and they collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and design to solve meaningful customer problems. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating ambiguity, improving systems as they go, and raising the bar for technical execution across the team.

We believe there is significant value in onsite partnership and team collaboration, and candidates within 1-hour commuting distance of the office may be expected to work onsite most of the time. Additional details will be discussed during the recruiting process.

What You’ll Do:

Participate across the entire software development lifecycle, taking features from concept to production release
Lead frontend application development using Javascript, Typescript, React, Svelte and NextJS to deliver seamless end-to-end experiences
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and partner teams to translate business requirements into clean technical designs across both backend and frontend systems
Troubleshoot data, integration, service, and UI issues across a large distributed codebase
Develop and execute unit and integration tests
Contribute to technical documentation to improve maintainability, knowledge sharing, and team velocity
Leverage AI tooling, with a preference for Claude, to accelerate software design, architecture, and implementation while maintaining strong engineering judgment and code quality

Who You Are:

5+ years of software engineering experience building consumer facing web applications
4+ years of experience / strong proficiency in React and Next.js
Experience with Svelte is a plus
Fluent in TypeScript, JavaScript and not afraid to take on other new technologies
Experience with Tailwind CSS
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proficient at using appropriate security, testing, documentation, and/or monitoring best practices
Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Comfortable using AI tooling, preferably Claude, to support solution design, and software implementation in day-to-day engineering work

Salary Range:

The salary range for this position is $140,971-$228,870 Actual compensation on this range varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, experience, and skill set.
