The Power Thermal Performance Validation Engineer Intern contributes to the power, performance validation with Intel silicon products mainly focused on the Xeon family. This role supports validation engineering efforts to ensure product readiness, reliability, and quality before launch and post launch.

The intern will participate in debugging, data collection, data analysis, validation coverage assessment, and may assist in test automation and the development of validation infrastructure.

This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in semiconductor validation while contributing to our customers' success under the guidance of senior engineers.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.

Pursuing a Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Electronical Engineering, System Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent field.
6 months of experience:
- Computer architecture, CPU architecture fundamentals, and SoC architecture.
- Programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
- System architecture and SoC microarchitecture.
Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency.
Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Costa Rica (this role is not eligible for visa or immigration sponsorship).

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

• Exposure to hardware or firmware development projects.

• Passion for innovation and a proactive approach to challenges.

• Interest in exploring a long-term career in silicon architecture or related fields.
